Earl Scruggs

I was saddened today to hear of the death of Earl Scruggs, banjo innovator, at age 88. He was a great inspiration to me and countless others who enjoy the dulcet tones of the 5 string banjo.

  • Hi, I’m Craig.

    Craig Korth

I've always loved all kinds of music, and I've been immersed in it (you know you're soaking in it...), in some way or another most of my life. If I'm not up on stage with a banjo in my hand, I'm in my workshop building guitars, teaching banjo or guitar, or, what I love the most - hanging around the house jamming with my girls in beautiful Nelson, BC, Canada.

I also am a Director - together with my wife Julie - of the uber fun NimbleFingers Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Workshop and Festival, held the last two weeks of August every summer in Sorrento, BC.

    Come, y'all!

I'm always stumbling on something interesting and have set up this blog to share it with you.
